Hostess and host Annemiek and Hemmo Dijkstra, bid you a heartfelt welcome at our hotel Landhaus Savisalo. We are a Dutch couple and found this wonderful spot in the Austrian province, the Steiermark, so we may serve you a mix of typical Austrian Gemütlichkeit and Dutch hospitality.
Idyllically situated in the heart of the Ramsauer Sonneplateau, our hotel is surrounded by nature and yet quite near the friendly town-centers of Ramsau am Dachstein (2 km) and Schladming (5 km).
Landhaus Savisalo breaths a cozy and warm atmosphere and you'll instantly feel at home here. Our 'panorama-rooms' provide a spectacular view of the Ramsauer Sonneplateau. All rooms come with exceptional beds, a TV, a balcony or terrace, a bathroom with shower/bath and a blow-dryer. After spending the day in the healthy countryside, you might want to enjoy the true relaxation of our Finnish sauna-room.
We serve a lavish breakfast-buffet and for supper you can feast on our home-cooked 4 course meals. You might want to complete the experience with a wine to match out of our own wine cellar collection. Austrian wines are excellent yet relatively unknown. Maybe you want to take a bottle or two home for yourself or your friends? We sell them at reasonable prices.
Although a summer Holliday spent in Ramsau is more than just a good idea, the area is off course well-known for it's outstanding winter sport facilities. The 220 kilometer of cross country ski trails (which start in front of our hotel!) are known to be among Europe's finest. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels will have the time of their lives in this vast area of 4 interconnected slopes known as Schladmings Vier Bergen Schauckel. You can get there by bus from Landhaus Savisalo. A stop is in front of the hotel. But you also can take the car for this short trip. Just so you know, on the Dachsteinglacier you can enjoy the winter sport facilities throughout the entire year. By the way; a visit to one of Austria's cultural prides, the nearby Salzburg (90 km), should not be skipped.
